Inspired by Olivia’s cue of brilliant and bizarre candy, I took a walk down nostalgia lane remembering some of the confectionaries available in Japan. They were limited only by the imagination, and KitKat earned a special place in my heart that year. Among the limited edition flavours I tried during the year I was there, these were some of my favourites:

(lemon cheesecake)
My favourite was KitKat gold, which I couldn’t find a picture of but was described as: “petits with fudge like covering and dusted cocoa powder on outside” in the Wikipedia article.
They were AMAZING. And sadly, found only in Japan despite my extensive searching.
